Lee Bay was a treasure trove of pools to explore.
This picture of a bridge could easily be one I remember in long rambles through the English countryside.

Holidays in England meant stopping in London at the Foreign Missions Club,Aberdeen Park, London N5.
It was a boarding house for missionaries and bible college students. It was made up of four or five connected houses each three to four stories high with full basements. Hours of exploration and skullduggery!
The gardens and back of the building were also enjoyed, especially at tea time if the weather was good, because the ladies who ran the house fixed up a lovely tea party
Another garden that Dad especially like was in Richmond, a suburb of London.
